I wouldn't assume that addiction was his main concern. Instead it is a disease just like any other; so then yes it was a serious medical issue that required proper treatment & sadly the healthcare system just like all the other 'systems is broken & corrupt & needs complete reform. There are many people with serious medical issues who cannot receive proper treatment due to Drs. Not knowing enough or caring enough- due to grouping everyone into a category-due to trying to push meds like anti-depressants on. everyone whether or not they have ever been diagnosed with 'depression & those needs do now harm than good-as only a shall percentage of people actually need & benefit from them; those in pain management suffering in chronic pain because their meds were abruptly taken away due to fake facts-there are many studies proving this has not helped the problem on the streets-ODs are higher than ever as many have turned to the streets for relief-there is no quality of life left for these people & many decide to leave this world-Whatever happened to 'First Do No Harm......it's all a joke now-There are tons of undisclosed medical issues & not enough known about autoimmune disorders so those people suffer & are treated like lab rats; I can go on & on & wonder why Drs. don't simply tell their patients how changing their diet & simple changes in life can improve their health+Stress is the #1 ki||£r. As for getting treatment for addi£tion+It is not a one size fits all Also there are underlying issues that cause the person to try to numb their feelings & thoughts & hurt & struggles. Please don't make assumptions until you've walked in the other v person's shoes even for just a day. So many of our Greatest talents through history suffered from this but are revered now. Some people use up a lot more of their brain & don't know how to handle it properly. Those who put it into Art like music-writing-painting-.....are never really appreciated until they are gone. Nobody Seems to care what happened to these people as children or through their life or what was passed through their genes-I can go on & on but it's not nice to put someone down for a medical disability-disease yet it happens every day & when wise these days because people have forgotten the meaning of humanity & empathy-Lets all help lift each other up..... There only so many times a person can keep climbing out of a hole alone until they can't anymore. Whatever happened to community????? The entire system needs to be reformed-I love my Country but I despise what it has come to-Certain people are running things & the rest of us are not even banding together to make good changes & make our Country the Great place it was meant to be. Wow-16 minutes in & I was about to comment :Is this when going to have anything about DMX in it & Just When I was about to type something.....I heard his voice. Looking forward to seeing the rest of this as it's almost half over & DMX was just introduced into the story. Rest In Peace Earl Simmons. You know too much-ahead of your time & your mind was working 24/7. I know that feeling-it's hard to relax or get any peace when your mind is always 'on.....This often happens from things in our youth..... I understand that he felt the need to numb himself from 'things & his over wracked brain..... That was not his problem-that was a band-aid to symptoms to the actual issue. It's very sad-another tragic young life lost. Those group homes are not happy places for anyone & especially when you're feeling tricked into it. Foster homes are terrible too. They love to make you seem like you did someone bad to be there when most of the time the situation is that there is a family tragedy or adult issues & the kids pay the price. Let's try breaking this cycle. Let's all show whoosh & humanity for one another & try to picture walking in another's shoes before being so quick to judge them as people so often do without knowing what that person might be dealing with or going through or had already survived through & is actually making something good of their life; or trying to but people always want to hold them back
